Interesting thing about the USPS, turns out it was set up as a service and not a business. When the founders set it up they had some goals in mind that no for profit business could dare follow. It was our government’s intention that the fellow living a hundred miles from his nearest neighbor have the same quality service as the family living in a high rise in the most populated city, and that it would provide that service without making a profit on the American people it provides that service for. If certain bought representatives for for profit delivery businesses have conspired to sabotage our postal service to cause it to look like it is more costly to us than it is, well, that’s because those businesses have their eye on the profit potential in those families living in that high rise. Bet your last dollar that if we the people allow those bought representatives to privatize our postal service, our friend out there by himself, and all of our friends living in low population areas will find themselves paying a lot more money for a lot less service than they are provided now. Remove the sabotage from our postal service and let them get back to providing the service they were put in place to do. Tell those for profit businesses that if they have enough money to buy our politicians they need to pay more in taxes to help subsidize the services we as Americans rely on. Not the other way around.
