People Ignorance and Poverty

How do you justify thinking that people are expendable? When did citizens of this great nation, descendants of immigrants every one, come to the conclusion that wanting what we take for granted is worth a man, woman, or child’s life?

In what way do you go about convincing yourself that increasing the profits of a few wealthy men is worth despoiling a landscape or destroying an aquifer that millions of people depend on for drinking water?

You fashion arguments in defense of corporations wage policy, knowing full well that the only reason those businesses don’t pay their entry level help less is because it’s against the law.

Millions spent with lobbyists who help fabricate the plausible sounding lies, willingly shared by people that have never known hunger. Billions spent in bonuses to executives willing to trade a living wage for a deeper bottom line.

People are not expendable, Ignorance is not bliss, and poverty is not inevitable.

Need Over Greed

If you have been trained to give up the longer view as a voting American, you will think that the voting process in this Republic begins when you vote for a politician, selected by one of the two political parties. The longer, correct view is when you choose candidates from your peers to represent you and your longer views.

If you have been trained as a politician to give up the longer view, you will go along with other shortsighted people representing greed and profit at the expense of the correct longer view where greed is balanced against and takes a back seat to peoples needs and rights. Even a back seat to the need to protect our land, our planet.

If you have been trained as a 1%er your view begins and ends at the bottom line. There is no hope for you. You are ruined, and will ruin us, our children and the very planet we live on if it serves your god named greed.

An uncorrupted government would protect us and our planet from you and your greed. Our corrupt short sighted government will continue to allow us to be ruined.

Convince your peers to run against short sighted, greed driven, corrupt politicians. It is not too late to elect people that can see the longer view.

Wolves

The real problem with crying wolf is that wolves exist. The obvious right wing propaganda makes a smoke screen for the problems that cannot be explained away. The gullible are willing to let the one size fits all propaganda explanation cover all the things that are not propaganda as well, and we end up with a corrupt minion of the corporations seeding our SCOTUS, taking us to war in the middle east and sneaking the TPP in the back door. Monsanto will continue to kill us slowly and the banks will break us in their lust for riches. A little research would put an end to the issue, but who has time to prove ones own self wrong?

Responsibility

With great hatred comes no responsibility. If I hate you, I can justify any level of verbal and physical abuse. I can tolerate any manner of your suffering. It’s only when we love, when we care for each other that responsibility comes into play.

We must choose our president carefully. We must choose the man or woman capable of understanding  that with great power, comes great responsibility, and great responsibility can only be achieved through great love. The racists and haters of this nation have no idea how fortunate they were that our current president didn’t hate them back.

Agenda

Glenda “the good witch” knew all along that Dorothy could go home whenever she wanted. She refused to share that information with Dorothy until she had fulfilled a political agenda. (kill the last “evil” witch and strand the “Wizard” in Oz) That’s what I mean when I tell you that “everybody” has an agenda, and even someone you think of as “good” can be a manipulative bitch when they are working towards their own agenda.

The Right Thing

When the bills come due who gets paid? Will it be a stronger middle class? Will there be much needed education and healthcare for Americans of all classes?

Or do we get the TPP and more lost jobs. Do we get war,  dead Americans, and hate in the middle east to fill the ranks of ISIS and the coffers of private arms dealers.

Do we no longer get to know what’s in the food we eat? Do we ride fossil fuels for pollution and profit into the ground? Just who’s bills are going to be paid from the oval office this time around?

We still have a choice, we still have a voice, we still have a chance to do the right thing for our children.

For the third time in this country’s history, we must tell hate to crawl back under its rock. We must push greed away from our government. We must reach within ourselves and out to each other. It’s time to show the world that we do know, and can do, the right thing.
