To the ridiculously rich money becomes nothing more than a tool you use to throw at problems. The more of that tool you have the bigger the problems you can subdue under a pile of cash. That’s why those people have an insatiable appetite for more and more money. Once you understand this concept other things start to fall into place. For instance the ridiculously rich’s propensity for throwing millions of dollars at the opportunity to protect billions and trillions in profits. Money circulating in an economy is life to us, to them it’s just wasted resources that could be hoarded for the future. The problem with their concept of money is in how short sighted their goals really are. Those of you who see money as a means of survival understand that we all need to move forward or none of us will. The short sighted rich think there will always be a planet and people to serve them, even though they take no precautions to preserve either.
Facebook Makes Me Laugh
It’s theirs, they can do what they want, but, three times now Facebook has entrapped me to ban me.
For the third time Facebook handed me a meme in my memories with a share button, and as soon as I shared it they banned me for violating their community standards. These were memes that I didn’t author. These were memes that Facebook previously allowed to be shared and then placed in a location to return to me as memories. These bannings are an automated process, Facebook controls the timing. How interesting is it that they would wait until I repost a meme they handed me with that very purpose in mind, before applying their recognition process to see if it was one of the memes on their ban list.
I’m not mad. It tickles me that without their complicity I would never have run afoul of their automation on my own. Another funny thing is that unless they make available a list of the meme’s they ban users for, I don’t have any way of preventing it from happening again. Like I said, it’s theirs and they can do what they want. At some point I’m going to stop seeing the humor in it.
Americans Have Moved Mountains
How do you convince people that the only way to move a mountain is if enough people see the need to make the mountain go away, and are willing to work together to move it?
I can only move a little piece of that mountain in a lifetime.
WE THE PEOPLE
can make that mountain go away with lifetime to spare.
Recognizing the incredible power of working together to make mountains disappear is the perfect example of why we need to be educated enough to know which mountains are in our way, and which ones are protecting us from things we don’t yet understand.
A Well Regulated Capitalist
Thing is, you don’t have to own it to control it. A few regulations can go a long way towards keeping the capitalists whose only concern is the bottom line, from doing everything they can think of to extend that bottom line. Someone has to look out for the environment, and the people that create and use the things capitalists own for profit.
The problem we face today is that we don’t control our government, so we have lost the regulations we put in place through our government that protect us from the profiteers. This is all you need to remember when the words Socialism and Communism start flying around.
Well, that and elect representatives that aren’t sympathetic or beholding to the profiteers.
When Did Our SCOTUS Become Short Sighted and Narrow Minded?
Short sighted and narrow minded is a burden on those that suffer from it. When the person that suffers from it is a supreme court justice, the potential for suffering grows exponentially to include anyone that they forgot to consider or intentionally excluded from their protection.
You Know Who You Are
Overturning Roe V Wade has no more to do with Abortion than a gun has to do with the homicide rate, yet they are both tied together in a macabre elitist play for power and money. You have yet to understand that in the eyes of the oligarch We The People can die at any time in any way, as long as it keeps them rich and in power. As long as you and all the people like you intentionally refuse to recognize what is happening, you’re going to waste your time arguing over a tiny inconsequential corner of the problem, while our nation comes apart at all the places we have allowed ourselves to be divided.

Motorcycle
I had just broken camp and was enjoying what would be the last cool air of a hot summer day at ninety miles an hour on the back of my favorite bike. It’s was a minute or two before the sun would come up behind me. I was headed into Kansas from Southwest Missouri and loving every second of the rolling hills and gentle curves of a well kept country road. A few minutes later and I came over the top of a hill onto one of those picture perfect vistas that just tugs at your heart. At the bottom of the valley on the right side of the road was the most perfect two story farmhouse I could have imagined, complete with outbuildings and a freshly painted white picket fence. On the other side of that farmhouse was the quintessential red barn, picture perfect in every detail, and on the other side of that barn was fifteen or so white beehives lined up and framing the red of the barn like a work of art between the beehives and the white picket fence around the house. On the other side of the road was a small stand of trees followed by a large field of flowering clover. It was magnificent and at the speed I was traveling it would be gone in a flash. The grin I didn’t realize I was wearing disappeared as I flew down into that valley and began to reengage with the parts of my brain that were not stunned by the beauty of what I had just encountered. Turns out my brain had been trying to send a message and that message was, “HEY DUMBASS!” “You’re looking at flowering clover on your left and a bunch of beehives coming up on your right, do you need a roadmap or are you seeing the problem yet?” Fortunately for me I was wearing a full face helmet. Unfortunately the pollen laden bees crossing that road were not, and by the time I’d crossed that gauntlet enough of those little guys had left their mark that I needed to take a little more time in that valley to remove stingers and admire the view. It really was beautiful, and I left that valley knowing that the pain of the stings was going to fade, and would just help stick that memory even deeper in my head. There has been nothing in my life like the moments of euphoric wonder that have happened to me while I was riding my motorcycle.
It’s Your Vote
Every direction the American people turn we’re faced with the price gouging reality of another monopoly. Pricing sometimes thousands of times more than anywhere else on the planet. The one thing all these price gougers have in common is more control over our government than we the voters have. The tool the founders of this country gave us to combat that problem was the vote. It is up to each and every one of us to vote for the representative that will have our back. Pay attention to what the candidates have done, their words lie, their actions do not.
We All Could Stand To Be Smarter
The number one scam in America today is giving people the illusion of well being for a price. It’s used in insurance, computers, politics, and anywhere there is enough of a lack of understanding to allow this con to work. The counter is education. It’s never too late to spend the time and energy to learn enough to not be scammed. Education is key, those that try to keep you and your children away from education do so with the intention of taking advantage of your ignorance. Fund education, make living in a smarter country a goal.
