If you worked every day for 40 years, including Saturdays and Sundays, you would have to make just under $68,500 a day to become a billionaire. There is no job that would provide that level of income without exploiting the earning potential of other people. When I tell you that there is no reason for any individual to have need of a thousand million dollars, I am also saying that there is no reason any individual should exploit other people’s earning potential just so they can acquire a thousand million dollars they they will have no use for. It is just as important that we set a minimum wage that deters exploitation of people earning potential, as it is that we set a maximum wage that deters the exploiters of people’s earning potential.
